Agreed. Moderation slows down discussion anyway. I run a listserv list, and restricting posts to subscribers (with non-subscriber posts sent to the moderators) has worked well for eliminating spam. And yes, we definitely need to do something. I was considering unsubscribing just to avoid the spam.....
