while installing the base system of Debian Linux I get an error message
indicating that the file "base2-1.tgz" is corrupted. I install from
CDROM-Drive.
Trying to install it from a DOS-Path doesn't work either.
where do I find a new file?

It's called base2_1.tgz and is found on every Debian mirror in
.../dists/slink/main/disks-i386/current/
However, slink is gone and potato is stable, so it's base2_2.tgz and
.../dists/potato/ these days.
