* Turned OFF cramfs, after noticng this:
831k cramfs-mnt/var/lib/dpkg/info
110k ext2-mnt/var/lib/dpkg/info
Same contents; cramfs does poorly with lots of small files, compared to
appropriatly tuned ext2.
It actually made the initrd too big to fit on the floppy, so cramfs is
not surrently an option.
BTW, pivot_root onto ramfs (or maybe tmpfs) is almost ready.
