porting 2.3.4 boot-floppies

Also, do reply to this message if you are building 2.3.4 for non-i386
-- I want to keep some tabs on this.  I do have sparc and powerpc I
can do porting work but I would prefer to be able to focus on overall
quality and i386 only.
