I have just one question: why 14 MB RAM to install debian linux? My
Laptop has only 4 MB Ram and there is no other distribution, on which
somebody still works on, which installs linux by floppy. 'Small Linux'
shows that it is possible to do it but I have the impression that 'Small
Linux' is dead.
Isn't it possible that the first installation-disk copies a bootable
linux to the harddisk and after reboot, can the User choose by a program
like YAST which packets shell by installed and which not?

Ich habe nur eine Frage: Warum 14 MB RAM f�r die Installation? Ich habe
einen Laptop daheim mit nicht ganz 4 MB RAM und auf den will ich Linux
hochspielen. Er hat kein CD-Rom und garnichts, nur ein Diskettenlaufwerk
und 240 MB an Festplattenspeicher. Ich hab mich einwenig durch's WWW
gek�mpft und 'Small Linux' entdeckt, das hab ich mir dann auch
heruntergeladen und "installiert". Das war die einzige Distribution die
auch mit 2 MB RAM l�uft, nur wird an der anscheinend nicht mehr
weitergearbeitet. Au�erdem macht 'Small Linux' eher den eindruckt, das
es nur zum Anschauen und nicht zum damit Arbeiten da ist. Somit sehe ich
keine Chance auf die Kiste Linux hochzuspielen. 'Small Linux' zeigt ja
das "Linux" auch mit wenig RAM l�uft deshalb frage ich mich halt warum
14 MB Ram.
Ich nehm jetzt mal an, dass man bei Debian-Installtion seine Pakette
ausw�hlt und die werden dann installiert, halt so wie bei YAST. Aber
w�re es nicht m�glich, das mit der Installationsdiskette#1 die Partition
angelegt wird(falls n�tig) auf dieser dann ein bootf�higes Linux
hochgespielt wird und erst beim n�chsten Booten die Installation
fortgesetz werden kann.
