3 Days ago the root part on my
/dev/ida/c0d0p1 259M 249M 10M 98% /
running out of space in case of some automated security and kernel updates.
I got errors with aptitude and apt get-install
the packages are downloaded, extracted well, but can`t install!
(running out of disk space)
I`m unable to install any *.pkg
(I deleted the old kernel version directories manually, also checked
/var/log and /temp)
Now everithing is o.k. !
My hint:
Give more space in part /root during the automated installation.

Well, that space was enough to install the system. The problem you ran
into is that it wasn't enough to install an additionnal kernel (and
modules).
I'm not sure that we should always enfore the root partition to have
enough space for *two* kernel flavours.
Others, advices?
