That’s one of the methods; Robert’s new GRUB change, as well as my
“manifold-boot” method which also works with GRUB2, are others. We
looked at them in Grml; the ISOHYBRID variant used to not work with
stock Debian packaging though that may have changed, mail m...@d.o
for details. It basically depends on whether you want SYSLINUX or
GRUB as loader (I think GRUB offers more flexibility which can be
desirable on d-i).
