Hello, Only for information: I have a fully automated installation with preseed.
If i start a manual installation without preseed, the CD was detected successfully. In this case, there is enough time from language selection till CD detection (> 8 sec - see screenshot). In case of preseed, the CD detection is reached before kernel detects the CD. To reproduce this behaviour, please set boot options: > locale=de_DE console-keymaps-at/keymap=de-latin1-nodeadkeys With these boot options, this behaviour is reproducable with my Notebook and my USB CD-ROM.
