Package: base-installer Version: 1.107 Severity: wishlist dpkg in git has support for filtering files, i.e. a mechanism by which you can exclude certain files from being installed (e.g. /usr/share/doc, man pages). This is useful on embedded devices that don't have much storage.
I believe this feature will land in squeeze so it would be great if the installer could support this. See #583902 on how this mechanism works.
