Why do you find it wierd? > is there any reason to run user-setup before clock-setup? I guess it could go after clock-setup. The important thing is to put it before partitioning and after the udebs are downloaded. Would moving it to 2700 instead of 2400 help? I suspect it might make sense to move rescue-mode earlier too.
