Hi, nowadays ide-floppys are 'gone' and usually to replace files are used CDs, DVDs and USB memory sticks, which are all very common. ide-floppys i don't recall seeing any.
Since the bug was filled in 2008 there was no activity/patches so i guess there's no interest.
