Tried installation with debian testing (wheezy), downloaded 2012-01-09: debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso.
The result is much the same as before. "Expert install" works as expected, until partitioning, where an error message is given: "[!!] Partition disks Logical Volume Manager not available The current kernel doesn't support the Logical Volume Manager. You may need to load the lvm-mod module." Choosing "Go Back" after this show the progress bar for "Starting up the partitioner" stuck at half done. This time, there is no message from partman in the syslog. The /var/log/partman is identical to the one posted to this bug earlier (from the squeeze install).
