Do these actually have a sound card? It was decided to include speech only on amd64/i386 for now because of size contraints, and because e.g. embedded machines are usually accessed through a serial console anyway. But nothing is cast in stone of course, and it can be reconsidered, we just need to find arguments to give to the debian-boot team. On amd64, it makes the non-gtk CDROM initrd go from 4626KiB to 6328KiB, that's not neglectible. Samuel Note: Simon, better *always* include the mailing lists. Mailing a single developer will often get a delayed answer, be it for timezone difference, or simply vacancy! -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
