Package: libkmod2-udeb Version: 9-1 Severity: important Hello,
In the latest daily build of d-i, sound modules are not autoloaded, thus completely breaking software speech support and making it unusable by visually impaired people without a braille device. I guess this is due to the recent switch to kmod? The way I test it is (with an i386 image): kvm -cdrom mini.iso -soundhw ac97 and type s <enter> and the boot prompt. The beta1 images do get speech, the image from http://d-i.debian.org/daily-images/i386/daily/netboot/gtk/mini.iso does not due to sound modules not being autoloaded.
