Exactly which powerpc iso did you try on your G3 when you got
d-i is complaining that loaded kernel and archive kernel are not
equal and then installation stopped
What kind of installation did you do? Is there anything else you can
tell me that might help me to duplicate your problem? If it's
repeatable on both your G3 and my G4 (not verified yet), then maybe we
can put together a bugreport that might have a chance of getting fixed
before Wheezy gets released...
