A new observation on my own bug report. It just occured to me that the LC is *technically* enabled in my config. But during the build, the following text appears.
I: single locale mode forced for flavor '', no FB console support So the config file (that check_depends reads) says LC is on, while it is suppressed during the actual build. The big problem here is, that removing the LC during the build process actually invalidades the conditional in check_depends. The rules change from "require utf8 libs" to "avoid utf8 libs".
