Adam, It was suggested that this very bug (127405) is the only one that keeps python2.1-xml (0.7-1) to get through to the testing. I was said that it's just a matter of days (a couple or so).
If you think that we should not be that strict, I can put a "dirty hack" which would make the stuff working for the previous versions of python2.1-xml.
