I installed boot-floppies using apt, so (at least according to the README)
all required packages should already be installed. But "make check" complains
that python1.5-dev is not installed:

Thank you for your report. The control file has been reworked since
Dec 18 when 3.0.17 was released. I verified that this dependency is
not currently called for by removing python1.5-dev and performing make
check against the current boot-floppies. I think this must have been
some secondary dependency unmet by python-dev; but it's OK now.
Your build should work. I'm going to go ahead and close the bug since
I believe it's not an issue with 3.0.18 or current cvs.
