Problem with Rootdisk and PAM

Hello! 

I have read the manuale several times but no result.
My boot disk works fine but when the boot prosess of the rootdisk ends
and the login prompt shows it das't mather which login name i juse
the password question never shows and i get a new login prompt.

I suspekt its a PAM configurations problem.

Please help me.
