Package: os-prober Version: 1.76~deb9u1 Severity: normal When using debian 9 grub/osprober it creates a menu including fedora 28. But when using the default menu entry (not advanced options) it looks the fedora rescue image is has been bootet. fedora 28 then comes without WLAN access (cause of missing firmware ?).
After booting fedora 28, the following command is used: $ cat /proc/cmdline BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-0-rescue-452f77a28c3d47509b4f5ff2d0ce50e0 root=/dev/sda6 When using the Ubuntu 18.04 grub/os-prober, fedora28 boots with WLAN acces and $ cat /proc/cmdline BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/vmlinuz-4.17.14-202.fc28.x86_64 root=/dev/sda6 -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.5 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-7-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:en (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages os-prober depends on: ii grub-common 2.02~beta3-5 ii libc6 2.24-11+deb9u3 os-prober recommends no packages. os-prober suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
