Base System Installation Checklist:
[O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it

Initial boot:           [O]
Detect network card:    [E]
Configure network:      [E]
Detect media:           [O]
Load installer modules: [O]
Detect hard drives:     [O]
Partition hard drives:  [O]
Install base system:    [O]
Clock/timezone setup:   [O]
User/password setup:    [O]
Install tasks:          [O]
Install boot loader:    [O]
Overall install:        [E ]

Comments/Problems:
Motherboard built-in NIC (Intel i219) not recognised. Installer prompted to
pick a driver however no i219 driver was listed. I tried some of the listed
Intel drivers without success. I had to install a Realtek NIC into a PCIe slot
in order to install. Used text-mode install. Removed Realtek NIC after
installation.

<Description of the install, in prose, and any thoughts, comments
and ideas you had during the initial install.>
Minor point: Installer (tasksel) defaults to Gnome desktop so the first time I
tried I accidentally installed Gnome. Reinstalled and remembered to deselect
Gnome and select my usual desktop (mate). Previous installers didn't default,
except to the first entry (debian desktop).

Post install and video is stuck at 1024x768 with unknown monitor listed. I'm
guessing Rocket Lake iGPUs aren't supported yet.

The missing support for Intel i219 and the Rocket lake iGPU is only a matter
of time. You could try a recent development image, to see if it already works
there.
Since this is not an installation issue per-se, I'm closing this bug.

Thanks for reporting anyway
