Dear Maintainer,

*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
Upgrading system from 12.12 to 13.1.
https://www.debian.org/releases/trixie/release-notes/upgrading.html was
followed precisely.
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
System had Nvidia P600 graphics card installed. Nvidia Drivers from the non-
free repository had been installed under 12.12 according to
https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers#Debian_12_.22Bookworm.22,
"proprietary" drivers installed. System is HP DC7900 with non-uefi bios (no
secure boot). Upgrade failed part way through. It appeared that the 13.1
upgrade may have installed the "open" drivers. System failed to a blank screen
with a flashing cursor. Was not able to recover to a graphical desktop (I'm not
that knowledgable and could not find a relevant help article)
Tried to remove graphics card and revery to systems own GPU.
   * What was the outcome of this action?
That did not work. Instead did a fresh Debian 13.1 install with the Nvidia card
removed from the system. The reinstalled the Nvidia P600 and reinstalled Nvidia
drivers according to the Debian 13 section of the wiki
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
That the install completed correctly. The Debian 13 upgrade instructions did
not require removal of the graphics card and NVIDIA draivers. After fail,
expected a Boot to where the install had got to with active screen using the
systems own GPU.
