So I think that adding this driver to the SD image should fix the issue.
hd-media SD card images do not contain network drivers. Network drivers
are provided by nic*-modules udeb packages included in installation ISO
images.
IIUC the driver for this PHY is at803x. It is included in
nic-shared-modules udeb which is present in the netinst ISO image.
Maybe what is missing is the *ethernet* driver ? Can you find which one
is used in the running system ?
