Comments/Problems:
I’ve had several attempts at moving from Trixie to Forky. Concerns include:
An AMD Radeon Graphics card that identifies as Nvidia. And,
aftereffects of attempting to install an unsupported Nvidia 5060ti card.
Forky seems to be quite unstable – loses keyboard and mouse clicks, needs
reboot.
The latest linux image install seemed to go well via apt install, but all of
the kernels resulted in a black screen. Xorg -configure was a problem.
Hence the need to wipe / and /var and reinstall.

I needed the expert install to preserve /home filesystem.

All went well until the step after the user/password setup.
First time around, I selected desktop, xfce4, Ssh and webserver. This failed.
I had discovered that the OS being installed was Trixie, my initial assumption
was that Forky would be installed.
This simplified things.
Omitting the desktop and xfce4 and ssh and webserver from the selection, and
leaving only basics allowed the installation to complete.
After a successful shutdown and reboot :
I *think* the first apt install I did was for dselect and mc.
I am unsure how apt got set up to include Forky in the updates.
The second apt install was for xfce4. This was from Forky and was huge.
After that the machine booted into desktop.

My thanks for all your work!
