Really happy to see this happening! I'm not involved with any of the
development work, but I am a prospective user of SimpleDRM using Plymouth.
I have tested with SimpleDRM as a module and built into the kernel, and I would
like to raise support for it being included directly in the kernel image. I had
some trouble with minor flicker when it was a module, and I believe it would be
a smoother experience for end users - especially maniacs like me who have taken
to using mkosi+systemd-boot over initramfs+grub.
