I think it'd be worthy to have some community-wide awareness, as that might lead to weird results before we get closer to the freeze (as in non-deterministic, as alluded to in that MR's comments). Maybe through bits from the release team with a little context so that (in particular) desktop maintainers are not caught off guard if they haven't looked into that topic yet? > I would appreciate it if someone would merge [1] and upload a new > release of tasksel. Please note that there was a sponsorship request earlier this week, and maybe it would make sense to have tasksel go through NEW with those new packages, and into testing, before merging that depends-to-recommends branch and uploading, so that it can mature as long as needed without holding back those package additions?
