No, it doesn't. Really. By default, the tasksel menu does show up in the debian installer, and there you can disable the graphical desktop installation very easily. Really. If that is not your experience, please explain how exactly you started the installer, possibly you have used third-party images or whatnot which does not actually expose the debian-installer behavior that we are talking about. And then it's the people maintaining those that you need to discuss with. Samuel
