Package: busybox-static Version: 1:1.38.0-3 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
Dear Maintainer, Several Dracut modules might call `mount -t auto` or `mount` without `-t`. Busybox mount will pass `auto` directly to the kernel. If the target partition's filesystem driver is compiled as a module and not yet loaded, the kernel skips request_module() and returns EINVAL (Invalid argument). This missing feature is reported upstream at https://github.com/vda-linux/busybox_mirror/issues/34 The Dracut busybox module skips intstalling the mount applet. This has no effect when using busybox-static because busybox-static is built with CONFIG_FEATURE_PREFER_APPLETS enabled. Busybox sh will prefer the incompatible mount applet instead of using the real mount binary. -- Benjamin Drung Debian & Ubuntu Developer
