Dear Maintainer,

when setting the keyboard layout to the German E1 layout (I did so on two
Debian GNU/Linux amd64 machines), it is no longer possible to enter 'f' on a
text console. Pressing the f key without any other keys has no effect. By
contrast, the combination of the key with another key still works, i.e. I can
still type 'F' by pressing shift+f. The f key has a special role in the E1
layout when combined with Alt Gr. However, just pressing f by itself should
still result in 'f'. The bug only affects the text console, not X.

I consider this as important, since the bug can lock users that have an f in
their password out of their system.
