Well, i just checked, you don't speak of isolinux anywhere. But it may
be worth to mention it in "What's new in the installation system" for
i386.

The first i386 CD uses isolinux to provide a choice between the various
flavors. If it doesn't boot, you have to use one of the other
CD :
CD2 -> vanilla flavor
CD3 -> compact
CD4 -> idepci
CD5 -> bf2.4
