I had the same problem with my laptop. It took me some time to find a solution: I my case I didn't have usbmgr installed; the drivers alone don't suffice. Maybe apt-get install usbmgr will also solve your poblem. You also need the following modules: usb-uhci #needed usbcore #needed mousedev #mouse keybdev #keyboard (may be unnecessary if you don't use a usb-keyboard) input #necessary ???
