The only reason why pump would not work where dhcp-client worked went away in 0.8.11-4 which is more than eight months ago. So there should be no problems with going back to pump. As to busybox ash somebody needs to update it with the current dash source. There's been heaps of bug fixes since the busybox version was done. -- Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 is out!
