At which point, exactly after the language selection? Could you please create a debug report? To do this, enter "linux.bin debug" (or <cdflavor> debug) at the boot prompt, wait till the glitch appears and then save the installation log on a blanc floppy or so. This is done with the "Create a Problem Report") in the main menu. Also interessting are kernel logs (create them with "dmesg > /kernel.log") and the list of your cdrom drives, /proc/sys/dev/cdrom/info. > for reference i do have an existing partition table that > i want to use so it might be skipping over that, but the > message goes by so quickly that i cannot read it. That should not be a problem. It would be interessting if you have been using an exotic partition table tough. > also in the Alt-F3 window the message: > > Dec <date> (none) user-info dbootstrap[138] : mount > Mounting /dev/hdc on nstmnt : No medium found Installer looks for Debian-CDs. When this is your CDROM, then the issue is solved - the quickly disappeared message may be just a message about loading of the language catalogue from the CD. Thank you for testing!
