Package: boot-floppies Version: unavailable; reported 2003-01-23 Severity: wishlist
While working on a raid1 conversion of a pre-existent installation, I discovered that md and raid1 modules are not present on bf24 (CD1). I don't know if they are present on some other kernel flavor at this time. Moreover all raidtools2 programs lack and also resize2fs. They are all needed to convert in autoraid mode disks, booting from installation disks. You can find all details in the Software-RAID-HOWTO (sec 4.14). I found that if conversion is done after net upgrades, resize2fs could not work at all out of the chroot jail (some symbols missed). I solved the issue just using the RH rescue disk, ugh! -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux gandalf 2.4.18-frankie #1 lun ago 5 15:25:32 CEST 2002 i686 Locale: LANG=it_IT@euro, LC_CTYPE=it_IT@euro -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
