Yes.  Tell glibc maintainer to not break backward compatibility.  Is
creates all sorts of problems, not only with d-i.  We could solve this
by getting an apt-udeb.

Yes, and that is done by base-installer.

Then someone else will have to tackle it, as I have no intention to
