Might I suggest that whether 3.7 gets moved to the appendix or, perhaps, becomes a separate document on using debootstrap, a reference to that should be added to the debootstrap package's docs? I can't easily check, now, to see if I just overlooked it at the time, but I had looked for help from that source and didn't find the very useful section 3.7 by way of anything I noticed there. I believe it was Google that led me to the install doc. debootstrap is another of Debian's hidden gems.
