Package: install Version: 30r1 Severity: critical I'm using the ISO image: debian-30r1-sparc-binary-1.iso
I'm attempting to install it on a Tatung UltraSparc 360mhz system with a 9gb SCSI disk, SCSI CD-ROM, built-in ethernet, 256mb ram, Etc. The system has a working potato install already and it runs great. I wanted to replace the running system with the latest version. When I boot the CD, it detects the disks and ethernet adapters okay, it displays the penguin okay, and then it loads the usb drivers, mouse drivers, net4, IP, TCP, Net4 Unix domain sockets, RAMDISK compressed image found at block 0, then it reports the following: cdc errorFreeing initrd memory: 1131k freed Kernel panic: I have no root and I want to scream Press L1-A to return to the boot prom This happens on any installation or rescue cdboot attempt.
