Package: debian-installer Version: netinst from 2003-10-31 Severity: important Tags: d-i
The install with a netinst iso from 2003-10-31 just failed on a deboostrap error: $ cat /target/var/log/debootstrap.log ln: /target/usr/bin/awk: File exists I've not formatted the partition during the install, and that's not my first install on this disk. The problem is probably due to an old install, but a 'error (code1) during the deboostrap run' is not very user-friendly (what's the debootstrap ? what should I do to solve the problem ? ...). I think the installer should checked for a previous deboostrap and show a warning about the problem if the partition is not formatted. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
