Your code seems to assume that a) The build directory is at the base of the d-i tree, which is not the case on any autobuilder building the debian-installer package. This will probably make d-i do evil things on every autobuilder. b) Only the d-i tree contains d-i strings, which is not necessarily true. -- see shy jo
