Can d-i include modules that in the regular Debian repository would fall under "contrib"?
The package in question here is ndiswrapper <http://ndiswrapper.sf.net>, which uses an existing Windows driver to get net access through an 802.11g connection. In the context of d-i, these cards could be detected, and the user could be prompted for the location of the Windows drivers (either from removable media or a Windows partition).
Not in the official d-i images. Third parties could certianly put together install images containing such software.
So to get this 802.11g support in d-i through ndiswrapper, I would have to write a d-i module? Are these the .udebs that are talked about so much?
