there is no dmesg of the failing boot, lilo/grub says something like "Ok,
loading the kernel ............... booting" and the screen becomes dark
and the machine reboots.
I think, this bug is not that serious since Timo Seufer told me that woody
is not supported by d-i and my woody installation just worked by accident
