Arg, something is very wrong here. base-installer now has incorporated the kernel-installer. As thus, the new base-installer upload in unstable (0.50) did overwrite base-installer, but not kernel-installer, which is still at version 0.57 in unstable (at least on powerpc), and is not used anymore. As a consequence, it is not possible to do a base/kernel-installer upload to testing-proposed-update to fix the powerpc kernel issue. Maybe a fix for this would be to ask for the removal of kernel-installer 0.47 from unstable (it still remains in testing).
