I downloaded and burned the beta2 ISO for netinst. I successfully
answered the questions about the keyboard, and it began probing for the
CD-ROM drive so it could mount the disc.
It got to 80% and probed ide-detect. At this point, the install hangs.
I tried rebooting and going into expert mode; if I pass ide-detect the
argument "IRQ=47", it doesn't hang, but it also doesn't detect my IDE
controller. The motherboard, again, is an Nforce.
I also tried using the latest daily build; it hangs in the same way.
(Also, the netinst disc doesn't include the 3c59x driver, which seems
strange for a network install....)
When I get Debian fully running on this system, I'll reply to this email
with more hardware information. lspci -vv I'll do; is there anything else
I should give?
Thanks,
Asheesh.

Don't tell me that worry doesn't do any good. I know better. The things
I worry about don't happen.
