I completed an installation using the beta2 debian-installer. I'm sorry if this is a known issue, but I figured I'd report it, just in case.
I put /boot on /dev/hda1, and / on /dev/hda3. The grub menu.lst file that was generated, however, set 'root (hd0,2)' which is incorrect. Manually changing it to 'root (hd0,0)' fixed things. noah
