2004-02-07 HP Omnibook 500 netinstall lilo/grub failed A me-too and additional info.
I used Debian-Installer beta 2 to install testing. I had to invoke with devfs=mount,dall: append load initrd=d-i/current/netboot-initrd.gz devfs=mount,dall console=tty0 ramdisk_size=8192 root=/dev/ram0 DEBCONF_PRIORITY=medium I also tried a couple of recent installer snapshots but they all failed to detect partitions on the disk. beta 2 goes smoothly until we come to install lilo or grub - both fail. As with original submitter I can't find any vmlinuz installed. I have tried a few dead ends, but don't know if they would be useful.
