The exact same behavior was experienced with the 20040226 sarge business card iso. Using the exact same CD in a newer 15" Aluminum PowerBook G4 allowed keyboard type and layout selection.

Is this a known problem already, or is there some other reason this bug report has remained untouched? My guess is that some change has affected the installer's ability to properly detect and handle ADB keyboards, since I think that is what the older PowerBooks had.
