The idea of my BR was that users often fall down to the medium priority during the installation process, because of errors or whatever elese, which may not be what they want for their final system. However, in my opinion, if the installation was successful all along, the debconf priority is then "high" and remains so. Florian suggests that this priority should be ask anyway.
