Hi all
I dont like complaining but there I am the real "Bob User" a windows man trying his darndest to be a linuxian but you continue to make the climb difficult. Im forced into a time constraint here and wont have access to email after this so I will miss the fallout. but here goes.
first i have compiled a list of things at
http://mec-symonds.eng.monash.edu.au/cgi-bin/twiki/view/Saqqara/DebianSargeInstall
but in summary
I found http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/ hard to navigate
complication alert!! I have no network at home ok that makes it harder have to do it all from take home cds
where exactly is the install cd?
where is the rest of it , packages etc
I expected like knoppix to end up with gnome or kde desktop
no mention on the site above as to where i end up. or if it is its under alot of other stuff. us windows types dont read we hit buttons
please read "make it blatantly obvious"
like Download Sarge install here
you may also need
download Debian+ (disk2)packages etc here

then I finally got to http://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/ mailing list
took me quite a while to work out how/where to send this post. there are lots of real easy forums why is linux oriented ones so damned un navigatable.
ok onto the actuall install.
best to see my site review..that number again is
http://mec-symonds.eng.monash.edu.au/cgi-bin/twiki/view/Saqqara/DebianSargeInstall
ill be back in month..surely by then all this will be a cakewalk...please!!!
