I'd say it's best to separate them. The Apple_Bootstrap partition code you need for yaboot on powerpc is quite different from other powerpc subarches, even (judging from the yaboot-howto) other yaboot-using subarches. I propose "partman-newworld", since fdisk calls the partition "NewWorld bootblock".
