Package: partman
Severity: critical

Hello,

Ok, i have been testing out partman, and it indeed seems to work just
fine on powerpc right now.

I have some gripes though, in my case i am working on an already
partitioned hard disk, actually my working harddisk, with some important
partitions.

First screen comes up, and shows me the existing partititon table, among
the menu is one entry saying :

Finish and write the partition table to disk.

=> Complaint 1 : In the case were the partition table was untouched, we
should not write to disk, and this menu entry should show "Finish and
keep partition table" or something such.

Feeling brave, i choose this entry, and am asking for the confirmation
dialog, which has a language about : are you sure you wish to create the
filesystems.

=> Well, i have nowhere said which partitions to mount where, and which
file system to create. I naturally can only abort here.

I don't know if this second case is a bad text, taken over from the
previous method, and i should read that it is asking me for confirmation
about the partition table writing, which it should only do if i changed
the partition, let's take no uneeded risk, or if it somehow decided
alone what to mount as which partition, and will thus proceed to screw
up my disk.

Friendly,

Sven Luther
